Get Your 'Space Connection' Ready

Continuous assessment
We recommend starting the Space Connection Assessment now to ensure your idea—using EO data, GNSS, or SatCom—qualifies for ESA support.

Technical feedback
Early validation allows our team to provide guidance before the next application window opens, significantly increasing your future chances.

Review the Application framework
Use the current templates to structure your vision according to ESA standards. Successful applicants differentiate between the Business plan (the vision) and the Incubation proposal (the 2-year execution).
Mastering the Application

The Cover letter (your eligibility check)
- Checklist compliance: You must be an SME, younger than 5 years, and owned >50% by the applicants.
- AI disclosure: If you use Generative AI tools to draft your proposal, transparency is mandatory in this document.

The Business plan (15-20 pages)
- Space connection: This remains the “make-or-break” section. A weak connection is an automatic disqualification; describe the specific space technology you are utilizing clearly.
- Team synergy: Focus on showing a mix of technical and business skills

The Incubation proposal (max 10 pages)
- Budgeting: The €60,000 incentive is strictly for product development, prototyping, and IP protection—not for generic overheads or sales salaries.
- Milestone planning: Map out specific achievements for the Mid-Term and Final Reviews.
