Applying to the European Space Agency Business Incubation Centre isn’t just about having a great idea; it’s about meeting the professional standards of the space industry.
The Cover Letter document in our application package might look administrative, but it is actually your primary eligibility filter. It is the first thing our Tender Opening Board reviews. If the boxes aren’t checked here, the rest of your proposal might not even be read.
Here is what you need to get right in this document:
✅ The Requirements Checklist: This is non-negotiable.
👉 Is your company (or planned company) younger than 5 years?
👉 Do you fall under the EU definition of an SME?
👉 Do you (the applicants) own more than 50% of the shares?
👉 Is your business idea strictly for peaceful purposes?
📍 Choose Your Hub: In the Cover Letter, you formally select your base of operations. You must choose between Košice (East), Bratislava (West), or Žilina (Middle). This determines which of our partners — East Slovak Space Cluster, Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava or University of Žilina — will be your primary host.
🤖 AI Transparency: We embrace innovation, but we value integrity. If you used Generative AI tools to help write your proposal, the Cover Letter is where you must transparently disclose which tools were used and for which sections.
